Portal “War and Sanctions” is updated

On 1 June 2024, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ministry of Defence of Ukraine launched new portal “War and Sanctions” (“Portal”). The Portal is designed to collect information about sponsors and accomplices of the Russian aggression.

The Portal consists of 7 sections. At the time of its launch, 3 sections had been available: (1) persons involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children, (2) foreign electronic components used in Russian military equipment, and (3) equipment used by the aggressor in weapons manufacturing.

On 3 October 2024, 3 more sections became available on the Portal: (1) Russian ships and aircraft involved in the illegal transportation of Ukrainian products and the circumvention of sanctions; (2) Ukrainian cultural heritage stolen by Russia, and (3) partners’ sanctions lists.

Business representatives should pay attention to the launch of the latter section, “Partners’ Sanctions Lists”. This section lists individuals and companies sanctioned by the United States of America, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

This tool allows to check partners and counterparties for possible sanctions-related risks, in particular to avoid unintentional violations of sanctions regimes in 8 jurisdictions.

The Portal is free of charge, publicly accessible, and constantly updated. The Portal is maintained in Ukrainian, English, and Russian languages in a format that is searchable and accessible for automated data collection.

The Portal is available via the link.

We would also like to remind that the State Register of Sanctions (“Register”) has been operating in Ukraine since 31 January 2024.

The Register provides free public access to up-to-date and reliable information on persons subject to sanctions imposed by Ukraine. The Register is maintained in Ukrainian and English and allows downloading information and generating official extracts.

The Register is available via the link.
