AVELLUM advises CFG and A’SPIK on obtaining merger clearance

AVELLUM acted as legal counsel to Continental Farmers Group (“CFG”) and A’SPIK Group on obtaining merger clearance from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for CFG’s acquisition of control over LLC “Polissia 2025”, the owner of a land bank in the Khmelnytskyi region.

CFG is a leading Ukrainian agricultural holding specialising in the cultivation of a wide range of grain, oilseed, and industrial crops, as well as seed production. The company currently farms land across five regions in western Ukraine and, following completion of the transaction, will expand its land bank by approximately 2 000 hectares.

A’SPIK Group acted as the seller in the transaction. The group is one of Ukraine’s five largest sugar producers and is also active in the cultivation of grain and legume crops.

Mykyta Nota, partner and head of AVELLUM’s Competition practice, commented: “We value the opportunity to support leading players in the agricultural sector in implementing their plans. This transaction will allow CFG to further strengthen its export potential.”

The AVELLUM team was led by counsel Anton Arkhypov and associate Yuliia Bulenok.
