AVELLUM lawyers share expertise with future lawyers in international law and arbitration

AVELLUM’s Dispute Resolution lawyers recently contributed to two initiatives to support the next generation of legal professionals.

Oleksii Maslov, counsel, Roman Syniuta, managing associate and Illia Ivanusa, associate, delivered a lecture at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy on the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

The lecture addressed practical challenges in arbitration, focusing on Ukrainian legislation’s alignment with the New York Convention and analysing complex cases from court practice.

Roman Syniuta, managing associate and Kristina Mysenko, associate, served as judges in the 2024 Ukrainian national rounds of the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition, organised by ELSA Kyiv.

By serving as judges, Roman Syniuta and Kristina Mysenko helped recreate the authentic atmosphere of a courtroom, inspiring more significant interest in public international law.

AVELLUM is committed to nurturing future legal talent and contributing to professional education in Ukraine.
