AVELLUM acted as legal counsel to Enselco Holding Limited, a company owned by Andriy Verevskyi, in connection with the acquisition of the Agro-Region group of companies. This transaction is one of the largest M&A deals in Ukraine’s agribusiness sector since the start of the full-scale war.
AVELLUM provided comprehensive legal support to the client, including participation in negotiations between the parties, preparation of transaction documentation, and assistance with closing the deal.
“This transaction reflects our vision for the future of Ukraine’s agricultural sector. Adding 41,000 hectares of Agro-Region land to our land bank is not merely a matter of scaling up. It is an investment in the stability and the economy of the country, which we continue to support even in the most challenging times. We are grateful to the AVELLUM team for navigating the complex legal aspects of the transaction and providing high-level expertise throughout the process,” commented Oleksandr Ogui, Head of the Enselco Group.
The AVELLUM team was led by partner Yuriy Nechayev, with support from managing associate Maryna Buinytska and associate Anastasiia Tartak.
The Agro-Region group is an integrated agricultural business with a land bank of approximately 41,000 hectares located in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions of Ukraine, and is organised into three operational clusters.
