The martial law regime and the current economic climate have led to an increase in the number of debtors who are unwilling to pay and seek to delay or avoid enforcement. They often use delaying tactics and exploit litigation to avoid payment. As a result, effective debt recovery increasingly requires a strategic approach and full use of the legal remedies available to creditors. Recent changes to the enforcement rules have also introduced new considerations for creditors.

The webinar will provide an overview of debt recovery tools that go beyond simply recovering the amount owed. We will discuss the additional amounts that may be recovered, challenging fraudulent transactions, and pursuing unjust enrichment claims against dishonest debtors.

We will also address the challenges and opportunities of recovering debts from state-owned enterprises, and share strategies to improve recovery prospects at the enforcement stage.

The webinar will be particularly relevant for in-house lawyers and heads of legal departments, finance directors and receivables management teams, as well as distressed asset teams at banks, leasing and financial companies. The session on state-owned enterprises will also be of interest to companies supplying goods and services to the public sector.

The event is intended for representatives of corporate clients. The webinar is closed to law firms, private practice lawyers, and consulting companies.
