Legal Scholarship established in memory of Tetiana Dukhovna

This year marks the launch of a new scholarship for graduates of Dnipro Municipal Law Lyceum — the first law lyceum in Ukraine (“Lyceum”). The initiative aims to support future law students and honour the legacy of the Lyceum’s founding principal, Tetiana Dukhovna.

The scholarship continues Tetiana’s work advancing legal education and fostering a strong legal culture and civic awareness among young people. She encouraged students to view law not only as a profession but also as a means of serving society with integrity and purpose.

The initiative was launched by the Lyceum alumni who have pursued successful careers and now work at leading law firms, business, and the public sector. Three of the scholarship co-founders – Yuriy Nechayev, Anton Polikarpov, and Vladyslav Heivandov – developed important stages of their legal careers at AVELLUM. AVELLUM, with partner Yuriy Nechayev and associate Oleh Smetiukh, provides organisational support for the scholarship programme.

The scholarship is open to this year’s Lyceum graduates who plan to pursue legal studies at one of Ukraine’s top universities.

The award amount is UAH180,000. It covers tuition and accommodation expenses. Selection is transparent, competitive, and independently reviewed. The programme is administered by the Charitable Foundation in Memory of Tetiana Dukhovna, founded by her daughter, Inna Yaremchuk.

The presentation, available via the link, details the programme. Contributions to support the scholarship can be made using the bank details provided there.
