Information

Maksym Maksymenko is a Partner at AVELLUM and the Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure. Maksym also co-leads the Energy and Natural Resources practice.

Influential agricultural producers, developers, financial institutions, lodging companies, oil&gas companies, port operators, and retailers follow Maksym’s business-oriented advice on all land, construction, real estate, infrastructure and subsoil use matters, which helps them to triumph over the competitors.

Maksym acted on 1,500+ real estate and infrastructure projects over the last 19 years.

Moreover, Maksym is a regular contributor to the various working groups in the Ukrainian Parliament, The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine (Ministry of Infrastructure), the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, and the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre. For two years in a row, he also gave lectures at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.   

Maksym devoted his PhD thesis to optimisation of land use structure in Ukraine. Maksym aimed to facilitate such land use, which will streamline the economic growth for the benefit of Ukrainian society with minimal negative impact on the environment.

      Advised A-Development, one of the leading Ukrainian developers, on the construction of a real estate complex in the centre of Kyiv in the form of a joint investment with a business partner

      Advised EBRD in connection with a long term secured loan to Limited Liability Company “Novi Biznes Poglyady” in the total amount of up to EUR52.5 million for the expansion of the shopping mall’s lease area, as well as for the financial restructuring of the NBP’s balance sheet

      Advised the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank in connection with a long-term secured loan to Limited Liability Company “Butsefal” and Prometey Swiss SA in the total amount of up to USD10 million for the acquisition of a new silo in Mykolaiv region
