Two law students received the Roman Ratushnyi Scholarship following the results of the 2025–2026 competition. This marks the fourth year of the scholarship, established in honour of Roman Ratushnyi — a public activist and military intelligence officer of the 93rd Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”, who fell defending Ukraine.
The scholarship supports law students who demonstrate strong civic engagement alongside their academic studies.
Two students were awarded the scholarship as a result of this year’s competition:
- Liubomyr Bahan, a master’s student at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
- Emiliia Honcharova, a fourth-year student at Ukrainian Catholic University.
Liubomyr volunteers and is actively involved in civic initiatives. His experience includes supporting internally displaced people, contributing to the recovery of affected communities, and long-term involvement in the scouting movement, which has shaped his strong sense of civic responsibility.
Emiliia volunteers, organises charitable initiatives, and is actively involved in community projects supporting children affected by the war. She is also active in animal welfare.
The scholarship amounts to UAH 180,000 per year and is awarded over two consecutive academic years.
We congratulate this year’s recipients and commend their commitment to making a meaningful impact through their work.
