AVELLUM secures success for global EdTech company in dispute with payment processor

AVELLUM successfully represented a global EdTech company in a dispute with an international payment-processing provider concerning the withholding of client’s funds.

The dispute arose under an agreement governed by the laws of the State of California and involved complex issues relating to the payment processor’s compliance practices and withholding policies. AVELLUM’s team represented the client in extensive pre-arbitral correspondence, following which the payment processor agreed to release the withheld funds in full.

The matter demonstrates AVELLUM’s ability to resolve complex cross-border disputes efficiently and pragmatically, securing favourable outcomes for clients at an early stage and without significant costs.
