AVELLUM advises Kernel on acquisition of sunflower oil transshipment terminal in Reni

AVELLUM advised its longstanding client Kernel Group on transaction matters related to the acquisition of 100% of shares in Reni-Oil LLC, a sunflower oil transshipment terminal with 15 thousand tons of one-time sunflower oil storage in the Reni port, for the consideration of USD24.75 million.

The transshipment terminal is the only one with proper intake, storage, and off-loading capacities among Ukrainian Danube River ports, allowing the export of sunflower oil even in case of the blockade of the Black Sea ports.

Kernel is the world’s leading producer of sunflower oil and Ukraine’s largest exporter.

Partner Yuriy Nechayev led the AVELLUM team with support from associates Oleksandr Kozhukhar and Olha Rudevych.
