AVELLUM successfully secures unconditional merger clearances for UKRNAFTA’s strategic transactions

AVELLUM advised Ukrnafta, the country’s largest oil producer operating 460 petrol stations across Ukraine, on obtaining approvals of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for taking under management:

  • UNB (Ukrnaftoburinnya) – one of the largest Ukrainian gas producers; and
  • Glusco – an extensive Ukrainian network of 128 petrol stations.

Mykyta Nota, Partner at AVELLUM, says: “Both transactions hold strategic value for Ukraine’s energy sector. It is our honour to serve as Ukrnafta’s trusted adviser on matters of national importance. Our commitment to excellence ensures the highest possible predictability in the antitrust review of any transaction, regardless of its complexity”.

AVELLUM’s team was led by partner and head of Competition practice Mykyta Nota, with significant support from counsel Anton Arkhypov and associate Veronika Humeniuk.
